PAWS asked:

My 11 year old son is entering grade 6 in Sept. Most of his class does not know their 6,7,8 and 9 tables in multiplication. Is there any easy way to try and teach him these before school starts?

Repetition. Get some index cards and write one problem on each one with the answer on the back. Hold them up for him and he has to give the answer. 6 X 1 = 6, 6 X 2 = 12, etc. Over and over and over. Make him write them as well since muscle memory works very well for most people.
