Why does round table put those plastic tables on the pizzas?

Every time I order a Pizza from round table I get those little plastic tables in the center. It’s not like I use it, does anyone? Are you supposed to put a slice of pizza on it? This is driving my crazy! I remember in elementary school me and my friends would always ask the cafeteria lady for them and we would see who would get them.
